Our 3 Tier Flower Bed

This is the front of our house. And this is the 3-tier flower bed that we just finished. My husband layed all the stone and leveled it so it would have the tier effect.
I had been waiting for 3 years to get it finished and all my friends are so surprised that it turned out so well. I am so proud of how my husband designed this and that he finished it in time for Mothers Day. We had the patio and walkway done 3 years ago and it took us several months to complete that part. Now that we are done with the front of the house we are taking it around to the side of the yard and we have added a rose garden wich will have a walkway to the back yard.
You know how it is you finish one project and go to another.
Here are different stages of the 3-tier flower bed. The copper water feature I got at a steal. It was regular $125.00 and I got it at close out at$ 39.00. ( good things happen when you wait).
I hope you enjoyed looking at the pics. New ones will be forth coming. I just want to leave a thought for the day!
All your dreams are just a blink away. Keep on dreaming!!!!!!!

Sorry I can't seem to get my pictures put in order. Have a great day.

A working garden in progress.

This is my patio bed that I have not gotten to yet. I will be working in it as soon as my grandson is picked up. Since I baby sit him 4 day's a week and only get one day a week free I just have a hard time getting everything done. But I have some flowers that I need to plant in this bed and there are some weeds that need to be weeded and I will show you new pics so you can see before and after .

This bed is a new one. We just planted knock out rose bushes. We are still working this bed up.
When we get done there will be weed cover and rock around the roses. We will leave a area at the base of the bush with mulch. Then we will be putting a side walk next to it. Pics forth coming.

And the last bed needs to be larger. Everything is sort of cramp from getting to big.
There is a rock in this bed on the right but you can't see it because of the grass covering it up.
We will be buying landscaping block's to move this one out and moving some of the plants and dividing some of the plants up. I plan on taking the Lilly's out and dividing the grasses up.
This bed has several types of Lilly's and when they are in bloom which they will be in a couple of weeks, The smell is heavenly.

Well I hope you enjoyed working in my garden with me. come back for another visit and see how it is coming along.

Keep digging.

The Dangerous cake recipe in the World!!!!

Yum, Yum doesn't this look sooo yummy? How about a 5 minute Chocolate Mug Cake? Yes you read it right 5 minute!!!! Now you can have chocolate cake in 5 minutes anytime you want it. Now for those of us that are chocolate eaters this is not a good thing for are waist lines but hey you only go around once so, go out and have it your way. Now I am going to tell you just how to acquire this little desert so you can enjoy chocolate cake anytime you want and anytime of the day or night. "This will be dangerous but I think I will struggle Thur it" as best as I can. So here is the recipe.

You will need a large coffee mug about 12 oz cup. Make sure it is microwavable
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) "Oh go ahead add it"
a small splash of vanilla extract
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug. but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous.

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
Enjoy!

Welcome toTable Scape Thursday

This is the first time I have participated in Table Scape Thursday. For my first time I did a Sienna table scape. I know it is not as dressy as most but I am still trying new ideals.

The Centerpiece is a Bountiful Platter and Pitcher. I just added yellow and red flowers to show off the pitcher, I just love the Tuscan blue in both pieces. The candle holders are sundae dishes that I put red votives in, they are sitting in a crystal coaster to enhance the look of them.

Then there are the small Tuscan blue bowl's with there saucers. I chose to use these as finger bowl's. I felt I needed to incorporate some more of the Tuscan blue from the Pitcher and plate.

I am using copper chargers that are trimmed in gold with a finial at the top they look very rustic.

The dinner plates are cream and butter in color and are outlined with little beads all around the outside of the plate.

The salad plates and bowl's are wave shaped. The plates are cream and butter but the wave bowls are butter in color. I love the way the plates and bowl's look very different.

The glasses sit on a stem with a crystal notch and are they seem to be made with panels instead of being round. I have them sitting on a antique crystal coaster.

I used a gold leaf table cloth with a smaller silk red embroidery table cloth. I made a diamond shape on top of the gold table cloth, this added color to the outside of the table.

I hope you like this Sienna table scape. And I will be doing more in the future.

Create something beautiful!

Good Friends/Good Food

We had some special people over for supper and we made a Southern Dish out of the Southern living cook bood. On the Menu we had: chicken fried Steak with Milk gravy, green beans with all the fixens, garlic creamy potatoes and creamy cole slaw. For desert we had apple custard pie with vanilla bean ice cream. It was to die for .
Our friends bought some wine and we toasted to the dinner. We had a wonderful time with them we both just laugh and tease the whole night. We are german decent and we play a card game called "Clabber" We are tought this game when we know how to count cards. I learned with my grandfather and father, when I was 11 years old. I love this game and I only beat my grandfather once. " He must have had a bad day"
This couple is our traveling couple. We go all over with them for a weekend.or 4 day's. We like the same things they are a great couple of friends alway's up and laughing.
